Built From the Ground Up

Pure Nutrition was founded in 2024 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born from a shared passion for fitness and frustration with overpriced, underdosed supplements. We constantly found ourselves talking about how most pre-workouts didn’t deliver—especially for bigger athletes. A single scoop rarely packed enough of the effective ingredients, and taking two servings often meant consuming excessive amounts of certain compounds—especially caffeine. That led to stomach discomfort, post-workout crashes, and poor sleep if we trained later in the day.

So we asked ourselves: Why not make one ourselves?

That question sparked the idea behind Pure Nutrition—a sports supplement company focused on minimizing ingredients to maximize effectiveness, without the bloated price tag. To keep our costs low and our quality high, we’ve done everything in-house, from ingredient formulation to flavor development. Unlike most supplement companies that outsource these steps, we’ve used our unique skill sets to handcraft every detail.

His expertise is the backbone of Pure Nutrition’s business operations, ensuring smooth eCommerce functionality and strategic growth.

Travis Wagner – Co-Founder & Chief Executive Biochemist

Travis holds a degree in Biochemistry and has a background in food supplement research. As a former college football player, he blends scientific insight with athletic experience to guarantee that every product formula meets the highest standards in ingredient quality and dosing.
